June 8, 2025 marks the 17th World Oceans Day and the 18th National Ocean Awareness Day in China.
To advance the national strategy of building a strong maritime nation and to raise public awareness about ocean issues, the “Provincial Marine Industry Innovation Showcase” was held at Talent Park in Shenzhen. The event was hosted by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Natural Resources (also known as the Guangdong Ocean Bureau) and the Shenzhen Municipal Government. It was co-organized by the Guangdong Natural Resources Service Center, the Shenzhen Planning and Natural Resources Bureau, the Shenzhen Marine Development Bureau, the Nanshan District Government, and the Guangdong Marine Development and Planning Research Center.
The exhibition focused on highlighting Guangdong’s latest breakthroughs in marine science and technology, as well as its progress in developing a modern ocean economy. A range of cutting-edge technologies and innovative applications were on display, spotlighting key advancements in the field.
Ocean Plan was invited to participate and presented its flagship product — the Underwater Communication and Navigation System — which quickly drew significant public attention.
At the event, Ocean Plan showcased its achievements in vital areas such as marine communications and underwater navigation. Through interactive exhibits, the company also helped educate visitors about marine technology and ocean conservation, raising awareness of the importance of science and innovation in protecting our marine environment and supporting sustainable development.
Ocean Plan’s presence demonstrated not only its strong technical capabilities, but also reflected the broader trends in Guangdong’s marine industry — toward smarter, greener, and more advanced growth. The event’s interactive and inclusive approach helped foster a stronger public connection to the ocean and a deeper sense of responsibility to protect it.
