Underwater Collaborative and Command System | Command Collaboration - Data Interaction - Situation Visualization

Table of Content [Hide]

Recently, Ocean Plan in collaboration with a public safety diving sector team, successfully conducted the practical application and practical training of an Underwater Collaborative and Command System. Centered around an Underwater Monitoring and Management System as its core platform, this system establishes an integrated chain of "Surface Command - Underwater Execution - Data Interconnectivity - Situation Visualization." It achieves comprehensive functionalities including bidirectional surface-underwater positioning, voice communication, text transmission/reception, diver physiological monitoring, and abnormal alerting. This fundamentally overcomes the traditional barriers to coordination in underwater operations, setting a new industry benchmark for integrated surface-underwater command and dispatch, situational awareness, and safety assurance.

This practical application established a standardized collaborative operation architecture:

Surface Command Center: Leveraging a surface-based integrated Control Center, it aggregates data from underwater terminals to achieve global command and dispatch, status monitoring, order issuance, and situation analysis.

Underwater Execution Unit: Divers wear integrated terminal equipment, simultaneously performing physiological data collection, positioning/navigation, order reception, and information feedback, enabling real-time linkage with the surface command center.

Two networking modes were fully validated, demonstrating the system's surface and underwater collaborative capability:

    1. Surface-Underwater Joint Networking Mode

The command center gains real-time awareness of divers' physiological metrics (e.g., heart rate) and positional data. It delivers precise orders via voice and text communication, enabling full-process monitoring and management of operations.

    2. Underwater Independent Networking Mode

The system operates independent networking without surface signals. Divers, equipped with "full-face masks, physiological monitoring belt, and the Dive Navigation Computer Navygator-Pro," autonomously construct an underwater wireless network. This enables group collaborative communication and positioning, meeting the requirements for covert operations in challenging environments such as low visibility.

As a groundbreaking achievement in underwater collaborative command, this system realizes three key technological breakthroughs:

Surface personnel and underwater divers communicating in real-time.

First, it pioneers independent underwater networking technology, beyond traditional sonar array deployment models. It enables network establishment without surface support, significantly enhancing mission flexibility and concealment.

Second, it innovates real-time underwater physiological monitoring technology, breaking through the bottleneck of real-time data transmission and establishing a robust safety barrier for divers.

Third, it features ultra-compact, integrated individual equipment that combines communication, positioning, and monitoring functions. It balances ergonomics and practical operational needs, laying the foundation for the system's lightweight and practical application.

Ocean Plan will continue to deepen its expertise in the field of underwater collaborative and command technology. We remain focused on practical operational requirements and drive product iteration. Through technological innovation, Ocean Plan empower the evolution of underwater operational systems, facilitating the strategic transformation of underwater operations from "individual combat" to "system collaboration." This substantially enhances the efficiency and safety of underwater operations, providing critical technological support for national public safety and the development of the marine economy.
