On July 31, 2025, the Shenzhen Marine Industry Standardization Innovation Seminar and the Inaugural Meeting of the Shenzhen Marine Standardization Technical Committee (hereinafter referred to as 'Shenzhen Marine Committee') were successfully held in Nanshan District, Shenzhen. Guided by the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Marine Development and organized by the Shenzhen Marine Development Promotion Center, the event marks a new stage of high-quality development for Shenzhen’s marine standardization work.
As the first municipal-level marine standardization technical committee in China, the Shenzhen Marine Committee shoulders the important mission of promoting the construction of Shenzhen’s marine standards system, standard formulation and revision, technical services, and international exchanges and cooperation. It will serve as a core platform leading marine standardization development in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area and across the country.

The event also featured the unveiling ceremony of the Shenzhen Marine Committee and the presentation of appointment letters to all members. Mr. Ma Kui, General Manager of Ocean Plan was officially awarded his appointment letter, becoming one of the committee members.
